Downtown Van is a place where everyone can thrive and we want you to be a part of the experience. Our Placemaking + Public Spaces team collaborates with local organizations, community groups, and creative individuals to animate public spaces and add vibrancy to the downtown core. They also help new partners navigate the challenges that come with trying to program public spaces through our Public Space Vibrancy Grant.
This grant gives creatives the opportunity to bring their ideas to life. This $2500 grant is for projects that help animate and enhance Downtown Van’s public spaces. Proposals can include anything from art installations, dance performances, fitness classes, educational experiences, beautification, craft markets, or something we haven’t even thought of yet. The possibilities are endless!
Enhance the vibrancy of your community by creating a welcoming and engaging environment that encourages social interaction and public enjoyment. All are welcome to apply. Priority consideration will go to those from marginalized groups and those facing barriers. Applications will be accepted from March 1 to April 15 2024 at 5 PM.
