Louis’ journey to Vancouver began in Vietnam, where he cultivated a successful career with renowned corporations like Unilever and Coca-Cola in the food and beverage industry.
According to Louis, “this experience ignited a dream within me – a dream to create something special.” This dream led Louis and his family to make the bold decision to relocate to Canada, leaving behind familiar comforts and a secure career to pursue his vision. His goal was clear: “to create a place where people could experience the essence of a coffee farm and savour the freshest, most delicious coffee.”
Just this past May, Louis opened his second Broyé Café location in downtown Vancouver on Hornby Street. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a ceiling adorned with 1,000 flying cranes, symbolizing luck—a nod to Louis’s heritage and a wish for good fortune to all who walk through the doors.
Louis describes downtown Vancouver as a constant source of inspiration, highlighting its “vibrant atmosphere and bustling energy” where people from all walks of life come together to create a dynamic and diverse community. “It’s exciting to be in the heart of such a progressive and forward-thinking area” Louis remarks, “where we can actively participate in its growth and create a positive impact.”
Looking ahead, Louis eagerly anticipates expanding Broyé Café’s presence in the downtown core, with plans to open a third location in the near future. He’s also enthusiastic about broadening their catering services, aiming to bring the unique flavours and experiences of his café to a variety of events, from corporate gatherings to intimate celebrations. Beyond coffee and pastries, Louis also looks forward to participating in community events and sponsoring activities that promote cultural diversity and engagement.
As Broyé Café continues to grow, Louis remains steadfast in his mission to create a welcoming space where people can come together to savour exceptional coffee and pastries. Louis emphasizes, we are committed to contributing to the vibrancy of downtown Vancouver and becoming an integral part of this dynamic community.”
