Custom-designed, garden-like rooftop restaurant overseeing the skyline of Vancouver, with amazing Middle Eastern food just opened this spring!
This spring Azur Legacy Collection Hotel unveiled the unique, Middle Eastern-inspired Lavantine Restaurant & Skybar, located in the heart of Downtown Vancouver’s Coal Harbour District. Open from Tuesdays to Saturdays, Lavantine offers its guests a garden-like patio showcasing such unique design features as a retractable awning, and fountain that hearkens back to Arabesque courtyards, with amazing views of Vancouver’s city skyline. As the Lavantine team believes food is best enjoyed in the company of loved ones, the refined dining experience centers around the essence of social and sharing experiences, encouraging guests to bond over delectable dishes while creating lasting memories.
Sofia Sayani, AZUR’s Managing Director of Food & Beverage, shares “Our menu underscores the maxim that every dish brings us together and is a tribute to culinary creativity inspired by local and traditional ingredients and recipes from the region of Levant,”. “Combined with the stunning rooftop setting, every bite is thoughtfully designed to take guests on a journey, create connections and leave lasting impressions,” Sayani adds.
Using strong influences provided by traditional and local ingredients with a blend of Eastern Mediterranean coastal cuisine, Lavantine offers amazing entrées from the fire such as Tiger Prawns, Beef Tenderloin, whole Branzino, and traditional dishes like Lamb Kebab, Kibbeh, Hummus, Babaganoush, Muhammara, and so much more!
The Lavantine menu is envisioned and executed by AZUR Chef duo Shyam Longani and Daniel Kenney and their talented culinary team and inspired by the flavours and recipes of the Levant region as well as the fresh, locally sourced ingredients available from purveyors throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Bar Manager Serhii Kulikov has created a cocktail list featuring classic and modern drinks that take guests on a sensory journey through Arabian and Mediterranean flavors. Kulikov states “Each cocktail on the menu is a reflection of our bar team’s innovative approach to mixology, blending traditional and contemporary elements to create unique and unforgettable flavour experiences.” He emphasizes that their new beverage program isn’t only about drinks and it’s rather about creating memories and taking their guests on a culinary adventure around the world.
Located at the top of the newest 5-star boutique hotel in Vancouver, Lavantine’s open-concept kitchen chef’s table and carefully curated drink menu will all be complemented by breathtaking views of the city’s skyline and ocean views.
