A huge thank you to all our members who joined us at Downtown Van’s 35th annual general meeting!
Our members got to come together, enjoy delicious canapés and cocktails, and connect and network, in addition to winning some incredible door prizes.
During our AGM, we took the opportunity to review Downtown Van’s activities and achievements over the past year. It was a chance to reflect on our accomplishments and set the stage for the year ahead. Members reviewed and approved the Auditor’s Report for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, appointed an auditor for the coming year, reviewed and adopted the proposed budget for 2025-2026, and elected several new board members who will be pivotal in guiding our organization forward.
A highlight of the evening was honouring the recipients of our 33rd Annual Appreciation Awards. This year’s awards were presented in five distinguished categories: Outstanding Individual Award, Outstanding Organization Award, Sustainability Award, Emerging Leader Award, and the Charles Gauthier Lifetime Achievement Award. Each recipient has demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and impact within our community. Their hard work and commitment make our city a better place, and we are grateful for their extraordinary contributions. Congratulations to all our award winners this year! As we celebrate your accomplishments, which inspire others to strive for excellence and change, we look forward to many more years of growth and success within our community.
A distinctive feature that enhances this occasion furthermore is the award themselves!
