Sandra’s journey with Refill Road began with her move to Vancouver in 2005, where she was captivated by the city’s vibrant community and commitment to sustainability.
After a few years of living in Vancouver, Sandra discovered her passion for creating her own sustainable products. What began as a personal passion for sustainability has blossomed into a business committed to reducing single-use plastic waste.
Refill Road is a zero waste refillery focused on reducing single-use plastic waste. They’re on a mission to “help people become more conscious of their consumption habits” by offering bulk refills and alternatives to single-use products not only to individuals but also to businesses. From selling at local markets to opening a permanent retail location in 2022, they’ve “built a strong community of customers who share our passion for sustainability,” Sandra shares. In fact, one of the most rewarding aspects of running Refill Road has been “witnessing the growing awareness and enthusiasm for sustainable living,” she adds.
As the sole “refillery” in downtown Vancouver, Refill Road recognizes the importance of expanding its impact. Sandra is determined to increase the company’s presence and popularity in the heart of the city. She emphasizes, “our vision extends beyond our storefront. We strive to increase awareness and inspire meaningful change within the community and beyond.”
